From World Expo landmark to premium event venue

Skyhall was built for Expo 58 and remains an exceptional example of post-war modernist architecture in Belgium.

Architects Maxime Brunfaut, Géo Bontinck and Joseph Moutschen designed an imposing transit hall measuring approximately 100 metres long, 55 metres wide and 18 metres high. Its aluminium roof, slender A-shaped columns and expansive glass façade were intended to give travellers an immediate sense that their journey had already begun.

Decades later, this iconic building underwent an extensive and sustainable renovation. Historic features, including the natural stone flooring and distinctive balustrades, were carefully preserved, while modern technology, insulation and energy-efficient lighting were seamlessly integrated.

Today, Skyhall combines the grandeur of its 1958 heritage with the comfort, flexibility and technology expected from a contemporary premium event venue.
